For the last several weeks, articles and newsletters have discussed spring cleaning, decluttering, downsizing, cleanouts and the stuckness and emotional heaviness we all feel when it is time to deal with these tasks (which is usually past time).

It was a privilege to deepen our collaboration with @evergreenmeadowacademy. Last month, we assisted their mission by providing essential furnishings for a family in the Sullivan County community.
One of my very generous clients (they all are) donated and paid to transport beds and bedding, a kitchen table and kitchen supplies, decor, dressers, rugs, paper goods, laundry detergent, and so much more.
We love this work so much. It was fun and rewarding, we made new friends, made some people happy, had a great road trip, and of course ended up with a client turned friend for life.
If you would have told me 10 plus years ago that I would love this business, the clients and the work (most of the time 🙃), I dont think I would have believed it.

Last month my client at the legislature asked me to ship tshirts back to the supplier.
We pulled 8 cartons out of their basement, counted the shirts, packed them according to size, and schlepped them to FEDEX.
We loved this job because it was the last and final task for @corinnecarey BECAUSE the governor just signed the Medical Aid In Dyning Act in NYS. A 10.75 Years long campaign of tireless activism lead by the dedicated and relentless staff and volunteers, all impacted by suffering and prolonged agony of no options except suffering.
For more than a decade, the campaign to pass the Medical Aid in Dying Act in New York went on. The staff worked with thousands of New Yorkers who opened their homes, their hearts, and their final months to this movement which culminated with the NYS Legislature and Governor finally listening to families navigating the harsh and daunting realities of terminal illness.
This law is about compassion. It is about love. It is about the freedom to make deeply personal decisions about our own care.
Congratulations to all. Cannot wait to see where you land next.
